Dr. Crystal DeWitt

Veterinarian/Owner

Crystal received her DVM from Michigan State and graduated with Honors in 2011. Her undergraduate degree (B.S.) is from the University of Findlay where she majored in Equestrian Science. She is an active cutting horse enthusiast who is a board member of the Great Lakes Cutting Horse Association and is a past president. Between Findlay and MSU she worked as an assistant trainer for a cutting horse farm in southeast Michigan. She resides with her husband Chad, three cats, five dogs, and nine horses and counting. Her special interests include lameness diagnosis, dentistry, and reproduction.

Dr. Cassandra Shelden

Veterinarian

Cassandra joined the practice in 2016. She has accomplished her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian having received her DVM from Michigan State University in 2016. Prior to coming to Michigan, she grew up in California and received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science with an Equine Emphasis from UC Davis. Cassandra has been an avid equestrian for over 20 years and dabbled in many disciplines before finding her stride with three day eventing. She and her husband, Ryan, enjoy spending time with their pets. They welcomed a new little boy in August of 2022. Her interests include lameness, diagnostic imaging, and providing individualized care for our clients and their equine companions.

Dr. Roya Oliai

Veterinarian

Roya joined the practice in May 2019. She is a graduate of Michigan State University where she earned her B.S. with honors in Animal Science and went on to complete her veterinary education. While earning her DVM she focused on equine medicine and was president of the MSU chapter of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP). Roya grew up in Grand Rapids, and spent her time shadowing the equine vet, along with finding any opportunity she could to be around horses. In her free time she enjoys riding hunt seat with her OTTB mare . When she’s not riding she enjoys gardening, hiking, and refinishing furniture. She lives in Grand Blanc with her husband and son, their retired racing greyhound Enzo, and two cats! Her clinical interests include reproduction, surgery, dentistry, and lameness.

Dr. Caroline Burglass

Veterinarian

Dr. Burglass went to veterinary school at Louisiana State University before heading to Texas A&M for a year long internship. After that she completed an Internal Medicine residency at Michigan State University in 2020, and has continued to provide Internal medicine services at MSU since. She now joins our practice to provide her expertise to our patients. Her professional interests include endocrinology and gastrointestinal disease.

McKenzie Reed

Office Manager

Mckenzie joined our practice in 2018. She graduated from Michigan State University in 2011. She has been involved in the animal industry since 2007, working with small and large animals. She began riding at age 7 and has competed in discipline such as hunter/jumper, and dressage. Mckenzie has a background in management and as veterinary technician/assistant. She lives with her husband Kyle, two daughters, son, two dogs and cat in Oxford.

Erin Thompson

Receptionist

Erin joined the practice full time in September of 2021. She is the voice on the other side of the phone. She lives in Ortonville with her family, horse, 3 dogs, and 2 cats. In the summers she hatches and releases Monarch Butterflies. In her spare time she enjoys bird watching, the crickets chirping, and landscaping.

Kerry Daudlin

Veterinary Assistant/ Receptionist

Kerry joined the practice in 2017. She is an avid equestrian and enjoys showing her horse Stella at local AQ shows. She grew up around horses as her father was a quarter horse trainer. She enjoys spending time with her family and bowling when not in the clinic. She lives in Ortonville with her husband and two children, along with her horse, cats, and puppy.

Morgan Meirelles

Lead Veterinary Assistant

Morgan graduated from Michigan State University in May of 2016 and quickly joined the practice. She started riding horses at the age of 6 and got her first horse, Bambi shortly after. She has competed in in disciplines such as English, Western, Dressage, and Cutting. Morgan spent time in Texas working for a cutting horse training facility and also worked for Michigan State Vivarium, where she adopted her dog, Blitzen. She now lives in Oakland Co. with Danny and Sage Dog. With a minor in Agricultural Business and a major in Animal Science, Morgan hopes to apply to vet school to pursue Equine Medicine.

Allison Postal

Veterinary Assistant

Allison joined our practice in August of 2021. She grew up around horses and was an avid equestrian in the Quarter Horses circuits from an early age. She now enjoys all around riding. Along with horseback riding she also enjoys softball. Allison spends her spare time with two dogs, three cats, two pigs, many chickens and of course her horses.

Maddie Parasiliti

Veterinary Assistant

Maddie joined our practice in Winter of 2023. She grew up riding hunter jumpers with MHJA. Maddie enjoys cultivating her house plants and enjoys life with her two orange cats, new puppy and more.
